The Conjugate Method is a structured approach to powerlifting training that rotates exercises while keeping the goal constant: increase strength in the competitive lifts.


Most Conjugate templates are organized around three pillars:

1) Max Effort (ME)

Max effort days develop absolute strength by working up to a heavy top set (near-max) on a variation of the squat, bench, or deadlift.

2) Dynamic Effort (DE)

Dynamic effort days focus on speed and power using submaximal loads (often 50–70%) moved with maximum intent.

Accessory work strengthens the muscle groups and positions that limit your total:
